In the Energy Operations and VPP team, we are extremely focussed to enable, steer and monitor flexibility to all types of assets. The VPP has a broad range of end-users, ranging from our 24/7 operators to our energy traders and asset owners. The VPP is one of the vehicles to contribute to Eneco's goal to be climate neutral in 2035.

What you'll do

The Virtual Power Plant is one of the fundamental technologies for Eneco to achieve its ambition to be climate neutral in 2035. With its Virtual Power Plant Eneco is focusing on flexibly steering its own asset base and that of its customers, from giant offshore wind farms to behind-the-meter products. Key to the expected growth of the platform are stable operations and predictable behaviour of the VPP.

As the VPP Analyst this is exactly what you will be working on. You're an indispensable part of the success fo the Virtual Power Plant. You are responsible for the monitoring and analysis of the behaviour and performance of the full VPP, every day aiming to make the VPP better than the day before. You're working in close with the 24/7 operators, traders, asset owners and the IT development teams. Together with the VPP development teams you prioritize the improvements and user stories in their backlogs, for the right focus and fast delivery.

You're in the midst of the operations of the VPP. You're the go-to person for all VPP operational questions and matters. You understand the energy management processes, co-develop the vision for VPP monitoring and you're able to solve complex operational issues.

You help operationalizing new VPP functionalities and realised improvements, such that the 24/7 operator team can quickly incorporate these in their processes. You're the voice of the operators towards the development teams, ensuring their requirements are met and they receive the required training and support.

Is this about you?

• You have a Bachelor or Master's degree with a technical, digital or operational focus.
• You have a demonstrable track record of fast learning and you're able to quickly master new situations and topics. You're quick to connect to people and build meaningful relations. You're able to interact with a broad range of colleagues, from 24/7 operators to asset engineers and traders.
• You are comfortable discussing details with your expert colleagues, as well as communicating your findings in layman's terms: you act both at strategic, technical and operational level and are able to switch between technical and business stakeholders
• You're analytical and have a sixth sense for data. You're well versed in data/analytical tooling and where you do not have the experience you are eager to learn and master new analytical skills.
• You are enthusiastic and take initiative, you can cope in a demanding operational environment, you can prioritize well, and you can easily connect to people from other departments.
• You thrive in a complex environment and you're eager to challenge the status-quo.
• You're a good communicator, able to communicate effectively with people from different parts and layers of the organization.
• Mastery of the Dutch language is a plus.

You'll be responsible for

• Monitoring and analysing the behaviour and performance of the Virtual Power Plant
• Developing and implementing the operational monitoring vision and tools, including reporting and work processes
• Identifying, refining and prioritizing of operational improvements and bug fixes
• Focal point and sparring parthner for internal colleagues (operators, traders, developers) and external parties (assets, servicepartners) for VPP energy management processes
• Helping and training operators and traders in making optimal use of the VPP

This is where you'll work

You will be part of the Energy Operations team in department Eneco Energy Trade (EET). Energy Operations is a young team responsible for the optimization and operations of Eneco's energy processes. The team consists of dispatchers/operators, analysts and product managers. Energy Operations is responsible for the VPP operations, and within this team you will be part of the growing VPP Operations team.

You will be part of the Eneco Energy Trading (EET) department and work in a dynamic trading environment. We work with a diverse team of around 170 motivated and smart colleagues to enable the ambitions of Eneco.
