What does this job entail?

What do the end users of digital applications really need? And how can we actually do this technically? As functional analyst, you work together with colleagues to find answers to these questions. For example, you work with others on IT applications tosupport your colleagues at KBC Bank or KBC Insurance in their work .

About 1500 people work at KBC IT. It's a large playing field with a broad range of opportunities. But because we work agile, you will join a small, diverse team . Young or experienced, woman or man, scrum master or analyst, every day we realise how much we have in common. What do we expect from you?

• You meet with end users to discuss their needs. These are colleagues from different departments within KBC Bank or KBC Insurance, your internal customers. By listening carefully and asking the right questions , you find out exactly what new functionality they need to create added value. What should the IT application be able to do ?
• You draw up a functional analysis - an overview of the functionality required to achieve the goal - and you review this with the end users. Then you and the IT colleagues in your team work on the technical side of the solution.
• Based on your analysis, you create functional test cases . You work through these to check that the new development does what you specified.
• Because we work agile, every development goes through the iterations: develop, evaluate, adjust . And always in consultation with all parties involved. So you can expect some stimulating meetings.
• If the constraints of time, scope and budget do not allow you to include certain features, then you challenge your internal customers on these issues.

Your key strengths?

• You have a master'sdegree and you already have two years of relevant work experience as a functional analyst.
• You look forward to learning our business processes and IT methods quickly and to thinking along with colleagues about how digital tools can help them in their work.
• Just like your colleagues, you like to work together in a team to achieve results and take the initiative.
• You are a good communicator, you can articulate your ideas in a structured manner and you are clear and convincing . In Dutch and in English.
• You are inquisitive and eager to learn . Which is why you are looking for a working environment where you have the scope to develop yourself. You've just found it!
