As a Tech Lead Data in Enabling Technology, you play a pivotal role at the forefront of this transformative journey. Your responsibilities extend beyond traditional data development - you are actively contributing to the realization and implementation of mature data platforms that underpin these innovative solutions. This role not only allows you to lead and shape the technical landscape but also positions you as a key player in our commitment to creating a more sustainable world.

What you'll do

You will be part of the Enabling Technology (ET) department and work in the enabling platform data team. This team designs and builds the platform and enables other data teams to create data products on top of this platform. You report to the Chapter Lead Data.

As Tech Lead Data you will execute the development and management of our data platforms that deliver value to our customers. In addition, you will formulate a Data Technology Strategy and update it regularly as a result of new technological possibilities in this rapidly developing field.

Summary of tasks :

• Formulate and contribute to a Data Technology strategy with accompanying implementation plan with attention to new legislation or other external influences
• Advise management on long-term technical strategic direction (self-service platforms) and where new data technologies can have a significant impact on the data platforms
• Proactively come up with proposals for improvement for quality and to reduce costs
• Fulfill the role of Technical Platform Owner within the Data Maturity Program
• Sets standards and investigates possibilities for automated testing
• Monitor and support the data platforms within the Eneco IT landscape on a daily basis and thus safeguard the continuity of the business technology services in collaboration with IT Operations
• Promote effective technical cooperation within the data team and with the other teams and partners of Eneco

Is this about you?

• Demonstrable in-depth technical knowledge and experience of data platforms and/or tools like Snowflake, Airflow, Grafana, Azure (Blob Storage, Event Grid/Storage Queues, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure AD and Security), Azure DevOps Git, CI/CD, Python and SQL in large complex environments • Has knowledge about DWH modelling techniques like Data Vault and Dimensional modelling
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Proactive stakeholder managemen
• Has demonstrable experience in working with multidisciplinary teams in complex environments with an agile way of working
• Is able to perform the tasks of the data specialists (data scientists, data engineers etc.) as a cooperating foreman
• You have the ability to quickly grasp complex topics and translate them into practical solutions

You'll be responsible for

• Main responsibility is the creation and implementation of the DataTechnology Strategy in order to develop the data platforms within Enabling Platforms and the tools that are used for this
• Make sure that these platforms are mature, fit for purpose, available and guide the transition towards self-service platforms
• Promote data literacy across the organization by educating business stakeholders and end- users on how to interpret and use the data platforms effectively.
• Liaison between our Business on the one hand and data Services and CDO on the other. This includes supervising service levels and quality of service, for example for operational monitoring of our platforms.
• The Tech Lead Data ensures that Eneco best practices around data platform operation will be adopted within Enabling Platforms.

The Tech Lead Data will work within the central unit Data & Technology Services (DTS) in the department Enabling Platforms (EP) and will report to the Chapter Lead Data. The EP Data Chapter team, around 20 team members, consists of a Product Owner, Tech Leads, several data engineers and technical support members. Stakeholders will be representatives from DTS, CDO and the Business.
