The Business Operations (BOps) team is the place where all trading activities come together and need to result in a financial settlement with all counterparties. With the continuous increase of contracted renewable portfolio (e.g. Batteries, Solar, Wind), the data architecture for capturing all deals and orchestrating all money flows is becoming more and more complex.

Enabling the growth of Eneco's Energy Transition, therefore comes with very large data complex landscape and requires everyone's flexibility to continuously adapt.

What you'll do

We are looking for someone to take on a facilitating role in our team, ensuring that the analysts in our team can effectively participate in the operational and change management processes of Eneco Energy Trade, the trading and integration business unit of Eneco. The Energy Trading department serves as the control center for Eneco's asset portfolio and facilitates the trading of volumes on global energy markets. Major developments take place in modernizing our (technical) landscape, this will enable us to achieve our ambitious goals as outlined in the EET strategic plan 2023-2027.

As part of this role, you will be responsible for prioritizing and aligning our team activities with other departments, both within and outside Eneco. You will actively participate in our SAFe framework and will lead the analysts of BOPs to deliver features while remaining operationally stable The team consists of 8 highly skilled analyst, with a main focus on deal capturing and settlement model building. You will coordinate the delivery of both small and large changes and features, This involves being involved in planning, monitoring progress, and reporting results to the various stakeholders.

The tasks are highly diverse and include coordinating the implementation of new projects such as new renewable assets (e.g. steering of windfarms or batteries), regulatory changes and operational improvements to optimize performance within the BOps department and EET. Your main focus will be to contribute to the objectives of Eneco and EET in a process-oriented manner and translate these into business requirements for BOPs to reach these goals.

• You have a bachelor or master level education (HBO or WO) with a preference for a IT or financial background.You have a can-do mentality, work independently, and proactively. You are cooperative and get things done.

• You have affinity with IT - applications
• You have good communication skills in Dutch and English
• You have a helicopter view and are able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. You can act both a strategic, tactical and operational level
• You have experience in process management.
• You are familiar with an Agile way of working and knowledge about the SAFe framework is a plus.
• Subject matter expertise in the energy industry is a plus.

You'll be responsible for

• You prioritize, take ownership, and bring process knowledge and improvements into projects on time within budget. You are the linking pin in delivery of our objectives.
• You have a clear overview of the main processes in our Trading Landscape and are capable to high-over assess impact of new projects on the IT landscape and workload for the BOPs team.
• You pro-actively reach out to other stakeholders to continuously be aware of what is coming towards us and how this is affecting our current landscape
• You act as a coach for the analysts within BOPs who participate in the change delivery process, by challenging them to work in a most effective way. You interact at a daily basis with a wide range of collegues - commercial structurers, traders, IT-developers, 24/7-operators, data scientists, asset owners. By this you are continuously aware of what is coming towards us and how this is affecting our current landscape
• You translate business requirements into an IT development scope. You make process improvements and translate them into operational instructions and standard solutions.
• You have an understanding of energy market developments without losing sight of practical application.
• You are capable of implementing improvements individually or through others in existing processes or establishing new processes in collaboration with commercial teams and/or assets.

Eneco operates in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, and the United Kingdom. The Energy Operations team consists of 19 individuals, including 11 analysts/coordinators responsible for project execution and 8 asset dispatchers responsible for commercial dispatching.
